Kivu is proud to announce its successful achievement of the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Incident Response (CIR) Level 2 (L2) Assured Service Provider (ASP) status.

Kivu is proud to announce its successful achievement of the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Incident Response (CIR) Level 2 (L2) Assured Service Provider (ASP) status. This prestigious accreditation underscores Kivu’s commitment to delivering high-quality, robust cyber incident response services for organisations affected by cyberattacks.

“The recognition as an NCSC CIR Level 2 Assured Service Provider is a testament to our dedicated team’s expertise and our relentless pursuit of fulfilling our mission: fight cybercrime, protect humanity," said Shane Sims, CEO of Kivu. “This accreditation not only validates our rigorous policies and procedures but also reinforces our position as a trusted partner in the industry.”

Shawn Fleury, VP of Consulting Services at Kivu, added, “Achieving this status reflects our comprehensive approach and adherence to the highest technical standards set by the UK NCSC. We are proud to provide both private and public sector clients with the assurance that they can rely on us to effectively manage and recover from cybersecurity incidents.”

“Recent guidance released from the NCSC encourages victims to engage an assured service provider to ensure successful recovery from a security incident, including ransomware attacks,” said Dan Saunders, Director of IR, EMEA. “We have seen firsthand where organisations rely on their existing IT providers to restore operations, which are often unsuccessful due to a lack of security experience. Kivu is uniquely positioned in the UK and EU to provide not only technical recovery support, but also ransomware negotiations and settlement expertise.”

The coveted accredited status was awarded following a thorough independent assessment of Kivu’s policies, procedures, and methodologies against a set of technical standards set by the UK NCSC. This standard is designed to ensure that all victims of cyberattacks have access to a trusted and qualified Assured Service Provider (ASP) to support their recovery from cybersecurity incidents.
